Mrs. Peterson 59 of Filmore, California, formerly of Altoona, Chest Springs
died monday, June 17,1985 in her home.
She was born in Altoona, the daughter of Gordon and Clara (Schirf) Gill, and
married Robert G. Peterson.
Surviving are four sons: David of Flagstaff, Ariz. Ronald of Goshen, Ind
Robert Jr. of Mission Viejo, Calif. And Jerome of Filmore, and a Grand
Daughter.
Also surviving are her MOther of Chest Springs and four brothers and sisters:
Robert of Hainesport NJ. Joan Bender of Ebensburg. Ruth Strittmatter of
Anderson Ind. and Edward of Port Jefferson NY.
Mrs Peterson was a graduate of Patton High Scholol and Mercy Hospital School
of Nursing. Internment was made in California.
Mrs. Joan Catherine (Gill) Bender, 64, of Plank Road Ebensburg Pa died
Saturday April 6 1996 at home.
She was born March 3 1932 in Altoona, the daughter of I. Gordon Gill and
Clara (Schirf) Gill. Married Leo Bender in 1951.
Mrs. Bender was member of Holy Name Catholic Church, Ebensburg Pa. where
she served as Eucharistic Minister and grandmother at the school cafeteria.
She had also volunteer at the Ebensburg Senior Center.
Surviving are her husband, three daughters; Jean Mullen and Lois Keegan of
Ebensburg RD and Donna at Home; a son Jeffery of Ebensburg RD a sister
Ruth (Gill) Strittmatter of Anderson Ind. two brothers: Robert of Hainesport
NJ and Edward of Long Island New York; and eight grand-children.

Engineer with over 21 years service. Retired early due to Heart Disease caused by an addiction to nicotene. January 1997.
