Obit-18 Feb 1993--Clara E Gill-- Mrs Gill 88 of Chest Springs died at 7:45 pm wednesday Feb 17 1993 at Altoona Hospital, following an apparent Heart Attack. She was born June 9 1904 in Altoona, the daughter of Denis A and Annie C (Meyers) Schirf. She married Gordon I Gill. He died June 1 1979. Surviving are four children; Robert of Cherry Hill NJ, Joan Bender of Ebensburg RD, Ruth Strittmatter of Anderson Ind. and Edward of Port Jefferson Long Island NY. 28 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren. Mrs Gill was a member of St Monica's Catholic Church, Chest Springs, Altar Rosary Society, Sodality, and Chest Springs Senior Citzens.

!obit--Louis Francis Schirf of Box 30 RD 4 died unexpectedly at 2:00 PM Monday, Oct 9 1978, in his home. Mr Schirf retired as a car repairman from the Penn Central Railroad in 1966 after 25 yrs service. He was born Mar 5 1910 in Altoona, The son of Denis A and Anna C (Myers) Schirf and July 27 1933 in Altoona married Elda B Bloom, who died June 30 1974. Surviving are four children, Mrs Janice Battisti and Kenneth of Altoona, Gerald of Tipton and Donald Bellwood; 14 grandchildren and one great grandson and a brother and sister; James P of Juniata, Mrs Clara Gill of Chest Springs. Mr Schirf was member of St. Theresa's Catholic Church and Bavarian Aid Society. Mass of Christian burial at 11 am Saturday with internment at Calvary Cemetery.

She was born Sept 25 1908 in Altoona the daughter of James L and Carrie E (Maurer) Bloom and married Louis Schirf. Surviving are her husband and four children; Mrs Janice Battisti and Kenneth of Altoona Gerald of Tipton; Donald of Bellwood; 11 grandchildren and a sister, Mrs Catherine Long of Johnstown. Mrs Schirf was a member of St Theresa's Catholic Church. Internment at Calvary Cemetery.

heaven."
