!Obit--1933--Frank Schirf well known farmer of East Carroll township, Cambria County, died at the Miners Hospital, Spangler a few hours after being admitted to that institution on Wednesday. The deceased, aged 49 years, had been indisposed for several years, but took seriously sick Wednesday morning. He was removed in an ambulance and died at 11 pm. The deceased was formerly in the lumber business. He resided in Carrolltown before going to farm a few distant miles from the town. Mr Schirf was born in Nicktown, a son of the late Mr and Mrs Conrad Schirf. He was married to Laura Stephens of Carrolltown who with the following children survives; Mrs Raymond Mangold of Carrolltown, Mrs Andrew Simon of East Carroll township, and Alvin, Walter, Paul, Bertha, Francis, Viola, and Raymond all at home. Other survivors are three sisters Mrs William Kirsch of Spangler, Mrs Joseph Peters of Nicktown, and Mrs Andrew Thomas of Carrolltown. Funeral services will be conducted at St Benedict's Catholic Church, Carrolltown at 9 o'clock Saturday Morning, a high mass of requiem to precede burial in the church cemetery.

William E Kirsch of Spangler, died Saturday, April 11 1970, in Miners Hospital Spangler. He was born Sept 13 1880 near Nicktown, a son of Joseph P. and Catherine (Schenk) Kirsch. Surviving are his wife, the former Teresa Schirf; three daughters, Mrs Twila Davis of Carrolltown, Mrs Leona Farabaugh of Bedford and Mrs Dorothy Kirsch of Spangler; 19 grandchildren,and 38 Great-grandchildren. Mr and Mrs Kirsch would have been married 67 years next month. He was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church, Spangler, Interment was made today in Spangler.

Obit--Norma C Schirf, 84 of Blairsville RD2 died Sunday Jan 31 1988 in the Indiana Hospital. A daughter of Frank and Theresa Lantz Reiger, she was born Sept 22 1903 at Hastings. Mrs Schirf was a member of St Francis Roman Catholic Church and the C D of A Court Queen of May 1685 both of Graceton. Surviving are a son Kenneth F of Blairsville Rd 2; three sisters Mrs Charlotte Perott of Patton RD, Mrs Ruth Kirsch of Nicktown RD and Mrs Emma Levergood of Ambridge. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband William J Scjhirf; an infant daughter; brother Walter Reiger, and two sistrs Mernerva and Marie. Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 o'clock in St Francis Roman Catholic Church, Graceton Interment will be made in the church cemetery.

!Obit--Sylvan H Morris Well knon farmer at Nicktown, cambria county died yesterday in the MIners hospital at Spangler where he was admitted as a patient on july 24. He was the son of Henry and Anna Jones Morris and was born at Nicktown on Aug 20 1902. Surviving are his wife mrs Sabina Schirf Morris and six children, Hilda,Laona,Betty,Shirley,Ronnie and Donna all at home, and these brothers and sisters; Robert P of Ebensburg, Sampson R of Indiana, Merton D of Alverda, Mrs Florence Cochran and Mrs Tessie SLoan both of New Bethlehem, Mrs Iona Clark of Denver and Mrs Nellie Cribbs of HArtford Conn.
